On US Airways 1549 the captain had to land on the Hudson river to avoid deaths in the passengers as the engines had stopped working. The flight attendants had to 'order' the passengers to evacuate quickly and orderly because they had landed on the water. The flight attendants and captain made trips to the back of the plane a couple of times to make sure that nobody were there and the passengers had evacuated orderly.
To be a good leader, one must think and act quickly in the event of a danger and must make sure that the people that he/she was leading are safe.
